Home Battery Rebate
What is The Home Battery Rebate?
The $2.3 billion program applies to people with existing or new solar systems. It is a non means tested program which offers around 30 percent discount on the cost of a new batteries for home, business or community facilities which are VPP capable.
The scheme will be directly funded by the federal government and delivered through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
How much is the battery rebate?
The Home Battery Rebate offers around $330 percent discount kWh of usable storage after administration fees and charges.
A Sungrow 12.8kWh Battery would have a rebate of $4224. The maximum battery capacity eligible for the rebate if 50kWh.
When can i get a Discounted Battery?
In theory, now. The Home Battery Rebate scheme officially kicks off in the new financial year but it is designed so it can be installed now as long as it’s not switched on until the financial year.
What are the benefits of getting a battery?
